WW 7273 – Shield Clock

6″ x 9″ x 4″

This is a reproduction of an early Black Forest Shield Clock (Schilduhr) circa 1800. The eight-day, weight-driven movement strikes the hour and half-hour on a stately coil gong. The shield is hand painted with incredible detail by the award-winning Conny Haas of Rombach und Haas. This charming clock features antique-brass hands, pendulum and weight shells.

The Shield Clock style is the original Black Forest clock. This example features a fine hand painting, while others include animated figures. If you like this clock, be sure to check out the Kapuziner, Laughing Turk, and the Rottenburg.

Each clock is individually hand painted so that each piece is a one-of-a-kind. Each flowered design may be slightly different.

This Shield Clock is by Rombach und Haas.
