A Georgian style break-arch case typical of the work of the London maker William Webster, circa. 1710. The Chatsworth cabinet is decorated with book-matched burr walnut veneers inlaid with satinwood banding. The case features fluted quarter columns to the trunk and "Corinthian" pillars to the hood. The cabinet is crowned with fine pierced fretwork and brass spire finials. The solid brass dial features cherub spandrels, a silver finish chapter ring, hand painted moon dial and blue lacquered hands. The cabinet is hand rubbed and waxed to achieve an "antique" patina.
