This clock is an example of the finest carving available. Its traditional carved scene depicts the day of the hunt. A majestic deer’s head stands above with guns hanging below, carved with intricate detail. On the body of the clock the careful viewer can see the animals of the forest, surrounded by oak leaves, a hunting horn, and an ammunition pouch.
Naturally the hands, bird, numbers, dancers, and dial are all of solid wood. The clock comes wrapped in recycled materials.
The large case also holds a large, long-playing music box and long, deep-sounding bellows giving the cuckoo a stately call. The Swiss-made music mechanism is a rare example that is no longer produced. We are pleased to offer this one-of-a-kind model that plays the Blaue Donau Walzer (Blue Danube Waltz) Künstlerleben Walzer (An Artist’s Life Waltz) AND Wienerbürger Walzer (Vienna Mayor’s Waltz).
The clock includes a shut-off switch which gives you the option of silencing the cuckoo and music. This grand piece is by Rombach und Haas and is exclusively available through North Coast Imports. It is an Official Black Forest Clock, certified by the VDS.
