Selina is a young artist, active in the burgeoning cultural scene of the Black Forest area, who is interested in a fresh and new approach to traditional forms. While the Cuckoo Clock is an icon of traditional home decoration, Ms. Haas’s work renews the concept utilizing organic and recognizable images.
Haas joins fellow artists of the Black forest of Germany to form a new series of art works that reexamine the ancient appeal of their oldest regional treasure: the Black Forest Clock. The “ART CLOCKS” are each one-of-a-kind pieces, signed by the artist. Combining stylistic cues from centuries-old clock making with modern design.
