Fusee Skeleton

MM 801 701 00 - 11" dia. x 16"

This piece is individually hand made in England. Each gear and pinion is cut and polished by skilled artisans who are each masters of their craft. This clock has a very limited production.

This timepiece features a very technical mechanism called a Fusee drive. Although usually less accurate than weight driven clocks, spring-wound clocks can displace their power though the use of the fusee arrangement to provide a more constant drive.

This piece includes a large, hand-blown glass dome.

The fusee Skeleton is from K. Mozer, and is one few extant in the United States. We no longer have it in our collection, but be sure to check out the Congreve or the Jean Kazes.
